Biographical Information: Ray was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Vincennes, Indiana. He and his wife Pat, have lived in the Monticello, Indiana, community for the last eight (8) months, coming here from Paducah, Kentucky, where they had lived for twelve (12) years. They had also lived in Olney, Illinois for fifteen (15) years. Ray was a retired Pest Control Technician working for over forty (40) years in Illinois and Indiana. He was known as "Ray The Roach Man". He was a member of the Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church and the Knight of Columbus, St. John Neumann Council, both of Monticello, Indiana. Ray was a former member and a past president of the Robinson, Illinois Jaycees. He was active for over thirty (30) years with C.Y.O. (Catholic Youth Organization) in Illinois and Indiana. He was very involved as the moderator, basketball coach of the Youth School and Church, Cub Scout Leader, Marriage Encounter, Pre-Cana and other church activities in the Illinois and Indiana, communities for years and years. Ray was an avid Indiana University Sports and Yankee's fan. Ray's grandchildren called him "Grandpa Fuzzy Head". He was devoted to his family and a servant to the communities to where he lived.

Marriage Information: On June 18, 1955, in Vincennes, Indiana, he married Patricia A. "Pat" Messel. She survives.
