Patsy (Pat) “Nana” Drangmeister passed away at age 77 in her home in Kentland on July 28, 2018, surrounded by family. Pat was born on June 2, 1941, to Lewis and Henrietta (Pat) Carver in New York. Pat was an extraordinarily kind, loving individual who never hesitated to help those in need, especially her family, of which she was extremely proud. Although she spent much of her time working, she always had time for her friends and family, hosting homemade Sunday dinners every week. Her favorite color was purple, reflecting the pride she had in her garden, especially her lilacs, which were Pat’s favorite. Pat had a heart of gold and will be dearly missed.

Pat is survived by her husband, Albert (Al) Drangmeister, of nearly 51 years. Also surviving are her children, Howard Drangmeister of Aurora, CO, Dawn (Scott) Begin of Oak Forest, IL, and Ann (Rodney) Lane of Kentland, IN. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Ashlyn Lane of Fowler, IN, and Shawna (Robert) Slavens of Kentland, IN. Also surviving are her brother, Lewis Carver, Jr., and extended family.

Services for Pat will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Goodland, IN, on August 1, 2018. Visitation begins at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM. Lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
