LeRoy Pardue, 85, of Monon, passed away at 5:05 AM Monday, July 16, 2018 at St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette.

 

He was born on July 5, 1933 in Jasper County, IN to the late Ottis and Mary K. (Rountree) Pardue.

 

He was a 1952 graduate of Reynolds High School. In 1953, LeRoy proudly Served in the United States Army and was stationed in France. He was honorably discharged in 1955

 

His marriage was to Betty Likens on June 19, 1955 in Nashville, IN; Betty survives.

 

LeRoy worked for RCA as a cabinet maker for over 30 years until its closing. Following RCA, he worked for Monon Trailer several years until his retirement. In his spare time, LeRoy enjoyed woodworking when able and spending time with family.

 

Surviving along with his wife are children, LeRoy Junior (wife: Marita) Pardue of Fulda, Germany, Michial Lee (wife: Claudia) Pardue of Battle Ground, Terry William (wife: Tammy) Pardue of Morrison, TN, and Elizabeth Bartos (companion: Bruce Meisner) of Monticello. Also surviving is a brother, Richard (wife: Linda) Pardue of Union Mills, IN; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

 

Preceding him in death along with his parents are 2 brothers, 3 sisters, and a great-grandson, Lucas.

 

Friends may call from 11:30 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 1:30 PM (EST) Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Pastor Russ Alley to officiate. Interment to follow in Bedford Cemetery of Monon.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in LeRoy’s name to the Monon United Methodist Church.
