Faith (Bonnell) Gillen Poindexter, 79, of Wolcott, passed away at 3:06 PM, Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at IU Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette.

She was born August 19, 1938 in Pulaski County, IN to the late Emron and Anna Bell (Doen) Bonnell. Faith graduated from Pulaski High School and later attended Indiana Business College receiving her Associates Degree.

Her first marriage was to John F. Gillen on May 2, 1958, he preceded her in death on March 27, 1992. She later married Richard “Dick” Poindexter on April 19th, 1998; he survives.

Faith was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds. After completing business school, Faith worked for Brooks Equipment of Lafayette as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed spending her time crafting, sewing, reading, attending local ball games, was a season ticket holder for Purdue Women’s Basketball, and most of all, spending time with her loving family.

Surviving along with her husband are children, Jacquelyn Gillen of Lafayette, Mark Gillen (wife: Deb) of Zionsville, Mick Gillen of Frankfort, Michelle Gillen of Lafayette, and Joe Gillen (wife: Patty) of Greenfield; step-children, Kristie (Susan) Poindexter McHan of Los Altos, CA, and Steve Poindexter (wife: Angie) of Wolcott. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Cliff Bonnell (wife: Wanda) of North Judson, Peg Shidler (husband: Dale) of Logansport, and Cathy Farmer (husband: Kevin) of Iowa.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and first husband are siblings, Mary Jane (Bonnell) Koons, and Paul Bonnell.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Mass 11 AM (EST) Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds. Fr. John Cummings to officiate. Interment to follow in Fair Haven Cemetery of Mulberry.

Memorial donations may be made in Faith’s name to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Reynolds.
