Beverly A. Evans, 84, of Wolcott, passed away at 2:25 AM, Sunday, November 26, 2017 at St. Anthony Rehabilitation Nursing Center of Lafayette after a brief illness.

She was born January 29, 1933 in Lafayette, to the late Paul and Cecil (DeWitt) Huff. She graduated Valedictorian from Buck Creek High School.

Her marriage was to James J. Evans on March 20, 1954 in Lafayette at Congress Street Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in October of 2001.

Beverly was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Progressive Club, Eastern Star, 60 year member of Wolcott Christian Church, Wolcott Christian Church CWF, and the Wolcott Library Butterfly Group.

Beverly enjoyed spending her time, gardening, reading, sewing, quilting, and teaching local 4-H members sewing skills. Most of all, she cherished time with family and friends. Her grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.

Surviving are three sons, James Paul (wife: Cindy) of West Lafayette, Jon H. (wife: Karen) of Wolcott, and Jay R. Evans of Indianapolis; brother, Robert (wife: Becky) Huff of Lebanon, OH; step-sister, Paulette (husband: Raymond) Richardson of Greenfield, IN. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Whitney (husband: Mike) Baker, of Shaker Heights, OH, Ashley (husband: Chase) Verquer of Chandler, AZ, Luke Evans of Lafayette, and Madison Evans of West Lafayette; great-grandson, Burke Baker.

Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband is a step-father, Elmer Rowe; siblings, Don Huff, Paul Huff, and Carol Huff.

Friends may call from 4-8 PM (EST) Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Wolcott Christian Church (124 W. North St. Wolcott, IN). Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) with an hour prior visitation Thursday, November 30, 2017 also at Wolcott Christian Church. Pastor Tom Bennett to officiate. Interment to follow in Dobbins Cemetery.
