Ronald D. Peacock, 81, of Sun Prairie, WI, passed away at 12:50 AM, Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Agrace Hospice Care of Fitchburg, WI.

He was born November 6, 1936 in Scott County, IN to the late Delbert E. and Elsie V. (Deberry) Peacock. Ronald was a 1954 graduate of Earl Park High School. He also received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Purdue University majoring in Electrical Engineering.

His marriage was to Joan Kathryn Cooper on June 3, 1956 in Foresman, IN. Joan preceded him in death on June 10, 2013.

As his residency changed over the years, Ronald attended different Methodist churches. He worked for the railroad in his early years, then in the computer programming & IT fields, and finally owned and managed Peacock Motor Sales in Watseka, IL for several years.

Ronald was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following baseball, basketball, and golf. He also had an interest in stock cars.

Surviving are children, Sandra J. (husband: David L.) (Peacock) Everett, James E. Peacock, and Douglas R. (wife: Michele L. Niebuhr) Peacock; siblings, Irene (Peacock) Swanson, and Willis (Bill) Peacock. Also surviving are granddaughters, Capt. Joana R. Everett, USAF, and Dr. Kimberly Everett Ganong (husband: Dr. Derek R. Ganong).

Preceding him in death along with his parents and wife are siblings, Cloyd Peacock, Wilma Glen (Peacock) Johnson, Carl Peacock, and Ralph Peacock.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (CST) Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland. Funeral Service 11 AM (CST) Monday, December 4, 2017 also at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pastor Clint Fink to officiate. Interment to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland.
