Rex L. Linback, 70, of Monon, passed away at 3:01 PM, October 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born June 20, 1947 in Monon, IN to the late Walter A. and Anna F. (Thompson) Linback. He was a 1966 graduate of North White High School. Rex was honorably discharged in 1973 from the United States Army.

He was a past member of the American Legion of Monon. Rex drove a truck for Rose Acre Farms of Francesville for over 20 years until his retirement.

Rex enjoyed spending his time traveling to various festivals, watching the Cubs, Tigers, and Colts. Most of all Rex was a passionate Purdue Men’s Basketball fan attending several games over the years.

He is survived by his children, Danielle (husband: Clay) Sheese of Westpoint, IN, and Steven K. Warner of Elkhart, IN; grandson, Jacob Sheese. Also surviving is a brother, Donald Linback of Rockledge, FL.

Preceding him in death along with his parents are brothers, Richard and Larry Linback.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Memorial Service approximately 11 AM (EST) Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Burial to follow in Roseland Cemetery of Francesville. Memorial contributions may be made in Rex’s name to the Jacob Sheese Trust.
