Jeanette L. (Zehr) Daykin, 98, of Remington, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at Rensselaer Care Center. She was born July 11, 1919 in Remington to the late Eli F. and Jesse (Kuboski) Zehr. She was a 1937 graduate of Remington High School.

Her first marriage was to Richard Stevens, her second was to Thomas Daykin. She was a member of Xi Iota Psi Sorority since 1945, American Legion Auxiliary, and Remington First Christian Church. Jeanette was a homemaker and cared for many friends and family members over the years. She will be greatly missed.

Jeanette enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, playing cards, being outdoors, and playing piano.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (husband: Howard Howell) Stevens of Boston, MA, Jill Stevens of Madison, WI, and Lynette (husband: George Forsa) of Spring Valley, IL. She is also survived by granddaughters, Erika Stevens, and Angela Forsa.

She is preceded in death by a son, Barton Stevens, and two brothers, Willard and Donald Zehr.

A visitation will be held from 12 PM (EST) until the time of Memorial Service at 1 PM (EST) Friday, September 15, 2017 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington.
