Max I. Dexter, 77, of Remington, passed away at 7:23 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Rensselaer Care Center.

He was born May 18, 1940 to the late Chester Jr. and Amelia (Kyle) Dexter. He was a 1958 graduate of Gilboa High School.

He is survived by his children, Kevin (wife: Sue) Dexter of Mosinee, WI, Deborah (husband: Greg) Ashton of Schofield, WI, Chet Dexter of Townville, SC, Brenda Dexter of Joliet, IL, and Rodney (wife: Carol) Dexter of Lexington, TX. Also surviving are sisters, Ina (Wayne) Stitz of Remington, and Lois Patterson; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death with his parents are 2 brothers and 6 sisters.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Memorial Service 11 AM (EST) Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Pastor Jeff Smith of Remington United Methodist Church to officiate. Inurnment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Max’s name to the Remington Senior Center.
