Otis R. Reynolds, 74, of Remington, passed away at 8:03 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette. He was born July 14, 1942 in Tullahoma, TN to the late Archie L. and Gerthia (Burks) Reynolds.

 

His marriage was to Donna A. Atkinson on December 3, 1963 in Remington. She survives.

 

Otis was a 40 year member of the Iroquois Archery Club of Rensselaer. He started working in 1966 at the soybean production plant in Remington as a maintenance technician until his retirement after 40 years.

 

Otis enjoyed spending his time shooting archery, deer hunting, fishing, camping, puzzles, spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

 

Surviving along with his wife are sons, Tim (Lori) Reynolds of Boswell, IN, and Chad (April) Reynolds of Wolcott; grandchildren, Heather, Amanda, Angel, Hunter, Devyn, Brent, Bradley, and Cheyanne. He is also survived by his siblings, Elzie (Gatha) Reynolds of Colorado, Rex (Sherry) Reynolds of Goodland, and Mary Wicker also of Goodland.

 

Preceding him in death along with his parents are siblings, James, Saunders, Ricky, Alton, and Evelyn.

 

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (EST) Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Friday, April 7, 2017 also at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home. Pastor Daniel Hester to officiate. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery.
