Dale T. Tatman, 78, of Brookston, died at 5:36 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Delphi.

  He was born January 29, 1938 in Brookston to the late Levi and Mabel (Robinson) Tatman. 

  Dale lived in Brookston for over 50 years

  He retired from TRW where he built steering components for semi-trailers for 46 years. 

  Dale enjoyed his house on Lake Freeman, taking a cruise on the lake with friends and family and was a big NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson.  He also loved his cat.

  Surviving is a daughter, Julie O'Connor of Brookston; a son, Jack Tatman of Brookston and a sister, Sarah.  Also surviving are 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

  Preceding him in death with his parents are his siblings, Marie, Maggie, Mary, Irene, Charles, Bessie and John.

  Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. (Noon) Monday, April 11, 2016 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston; Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate.  Interment to follow by his parents in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
