Janet M. Eberle, 73, of McCordsville, IN passed away peacefully at her home Monday, March 7, 2016.

She was born October 6, 1942 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Oliver and Joan Eberle and was a 1960 graduate of Wolcott High School. She went on to graduate with her Masters from Indiana University.

Janet was a beloved teacher at Emmerich Manuel High School, Mishawaka High School, John Marshall High School, and she later retired from Arsenal Tech High School. She was an outstanding journalism teacher and helped with numerous school plays. She also received the Honor Award from the Indiana Press Association.

She loved sports especially IU men's basketball where she was a season ticket holder. She was an avid reader and loved to play cards with her family. She was a world traveler and loved photography, taking many pictures of her amazing travels.

Surviving is a sister Margaret Foutch; a brother Lynn (Karen) Eberle; special nephews Brian(Deanna) and Craig Foutch; and great nieces and nephew Robin, Olivia, and Jacob.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Joan.

Friends may call from 11 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 1 PM (EST) Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
