Patricia Stella Barker, 82, of Monon, died at 12:05 am, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East, Lafayette surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 18, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Claude and Bertha (Coughlin) Draper. She attended high school in Chicago. Her marriage was to Frederick Barker on October 20, 1951 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in October 1980. Patricia enjoyed reading and loved watching "Jeopardy", "Murder She Wrote", and Matlock. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was especially excited about the possibility of new great grandchildren. She was considered "Mom" and "Aunt Pat" to all. She is survived by her children, Fred Barker (wife: Rosemarie) of Chicago, IL, Kathy Keating (husband: John) of Monon, Bill Barker (wife: Karen) of Geneva, IL, Linda Buda (husband: Bob) of Hyde Park, NY, Larry Barker (wife: Ellen) of East Hazel Crest, IL, Susie Piironen (husband: Dave) of Monon; a niece who was like her daughter, Pat Kujawa (Ed) of Bourbanais, IL; 30 grandchildren, Erin (husband: Keith), Tom (wife: Jenni); Kelly, Becky (husband: Sean), Meghan (fiancé Michael), Tim (partner: Dexter), Shannon, Brian (Jess), Lauren (husband: Farid), Eric (wife: Allie), Jenny, Irene (husband: Matt), Stacey, Nina (husband: Zeno), Robbie (wife: Caroline), Jonny (wife: Shantasha), Carolyn, Charlie, David (wife: Becky), Samantha (husband: Mike), Larry (wife: Mindy), Adam, Mary, Matt (fiance: Cambria), Josh, Paul, Faith, Dontreal, Jarod, David, Katie (husband: Dan); Brooke (husband: Jason), Bryan, Meghan, Alec; 8 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Hunter, Zane, Marshall, Sam, Destiny, Alicia, Jax, and Baby Mercuri; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Barker. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 3, 2014 at Monon Community Church/Assembly of God, 75 Indiana 16, Monon, IN 47959 with Pastor Don Newman officiating.
