Leonard F. Lovell, 77, of Cincinnati, OH, formerly of Kentland and Fowler, passed away at 4:08 am, January 25, 2014, at Mulberry Health and Rehabilitation, Mulberry, IN. He was born on May 24, 1936 in Lafayette, IN to the late Floyd and Eva (Reinhart) Lovell. He had lived in Fowler and Kentland, IN as a child and graduated from Kentland High School. He went on to attend Marquette University and St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, where he earned a Bachelor's in Business Management and Accounting. He was a member of the United States Army National Guard, serving from 1959-1967. His marriage of 52 years was to Catherine Fritz on August, 26, 1961 in Herscher, Illinois. She survives. They had lived in Kankakee, IL, Kentland, IN, and Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Lovell had been a Regional Manager for Litton Microwave Ovens, managed the Nu-Joy Restaurant in Kentland for 13 years, and retired from the IRS in Cincinnati as a tax advisor. Surviving with his wife are his six children; Gregory Lovell (wife: Melissa) of Lafayette, IN, Debra Lovell of Cincinnati, OH, Jeffrey Lovell (wife: Debra) of St. Louis, MO, Cristine Spangler (husband: Michael) of Rensselaer, IN, Matthew Lovell of Seattle, WA, and Tina Lovell of Cincinnati, OH; two siblings, Richard Lovell of Lancaster, PA, and Dolores Fleming of Greenfield, IN; and six grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Joanne Schweik, Jeanne Lemen, and Donna Salla. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 10:45 am (CDT) with Funeral Mass beginning at 11 am (CDT), Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland, IN.
