Bobby L. Young, 67, of Chalmers, died at 9:20 am, Monday, August 19, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on January 23, 1946 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Elmer and Lorraine (Pickerell) Young. He graduated from high school from Benton Co. in 1966. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, where he was an 82nd Airborne Army Ranger. His marriage was to Sharon Wippel (Clymer) on December 18, 1971 in the Methodist Church in Battle Ground. She survives. He was a member of the Chalmers American Legion, He was a self employed truck driver and had drove for Schilli Motor Lines. Bobby enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling and camping, fishing, working on vehicles, and all types of shooting sports. He enjoyed raising grandkids the most and enjoyed everything they participated in. Surviving with his wife are his two children, Teresa Yrizarry and Scott Wippel, and four siblings, Roger Young, Jean Kyger, Betty Kyle, and Dianne Hartley. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
