Mary D. "Myrt" English, 90, of Remington, passed away at 9:03 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare of West Lafayette. She was born March 11, 1923 in Lebanon to the late Luther and Edna (Lockhart) Dossett. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1942. Her marriage was to Charles English on March 24, 1946 in New Ross, Indiana. He preceded her in death on October 16, 2008. Myrt was a member of the Remington United Methodist Church, and worked at Farmers National Bank in Remington for over 30 years. She enjoyed collecting bird figurines, cups and saucers. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and her extended family, the late Richard and Betty Graf family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers; Bill and Bob Dossett and one sister; Margaret Johnson. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Remington United Methodist Church. Her funeral service there at 11:00 a.m. (EST) Wednesday, April 3, 2013 with Dr. Brandon Schemerhorn and Rev. Randy Sparks officiating. Interment to follow at Remington Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in her name to Guardian Angel Hospice or Remington United Methodist Church.
