Dana L. Bunnell, 72, and lifelong resident of the Chalmers area, passed away at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 in St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital of Lafayette. She was born July 10, 1939 in Chalmers to the late Clifford and Orpha (Hicks) Flynn and was a 1957 graduate of Chalmers High School. Her marriage was to Paul L. Bunnell on October 2, 1957 in Chalmers. He survives. Dana was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She provided wonderful care for her family throughout the years. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, and playing cards with her family. She was a member of the Chalmers Community Church. Surviving with her husband are her children, BonnieLou Millar (husband: Larry) of Susanville, CA, Barrie L. Bunnell (wife: Teresa) of Wabash, IN and Beccie S. Tidmore (husband: William) of Brookston. Dana loved spending time with her family. She also cherished time spent with her beloved dog Precious. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Jennifer, Wayne, Jacob and Jessie and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death with her parents is a sister, Luella Park; a brother, Max Flynn and 1 grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Pastor Bill Henderson to officiate. Interment to follow in Chalmers Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Chalmers Community Church or Discovering H.A.N.D.S Preschool.
