Martha "Kay" Sisney, 68, of Raub, died at 2:41 p.m., October 17, 2011 at Saint Francis Medical Center of Peoria, Illinois. She was born January 19, 1943 in Brandenburg, Kentucky to the late Jim Brown and Bessie Pipes Brown. Her marriage was to Bill Sisney on October 25, 1959. He survives. She lived most of her life in Newton County. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, traveling, and spending time with her family. Surviving along with her husband are three daughters; Erna Woodby (husband: Roger) of Goodlettsville, TN; Kim Alliss (companion: James Mayton) of Springfield, TN, and Michele Sisney of Monticello; and Tammy Woodby, whom Kay and Bill considered as a daughter. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Norman Pipes, and a grandson, Billy Joe Woodby. Friends may call from noon until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. (CDT), Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland.
