Elizabeth Mae Brehmer, 97, of Reynolds, died at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at IU Health Hospital in Monticello. She was born November 4, 1913 in Deshler, Ohio to the late Edward and Mayme (Bell) Holderly. She was a 1932 graduate of Wolcott High School. Her marriage was to Edward "Puffy" Brehmer on February 14, 1937 in Ligonier, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2006. Mrs. Brehmer was a longtime member of the Reynolds United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She also worked in the restaurant part of the Reynolds Sale Barn for several years. She enjoyed flowers and antiques. Surviving is a daughter, Trudy Brehmer of Galveston, Indiana. Also surviving are several dear friends and neighbors. Preceding her in death with her parents and husband are four brothers, Miles, Morris, Gene and Melvin "Bud" Holderly and a sister, Mary Pacey. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2011 in the Reynolds United Methodist Church; Rev. Glenn Knepp to officiate. Interment to follow in the Chalmers Community Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to the Reynolds United Methodist Church.
