Thomas Ott, 67, of Monon, died at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Mulberry Health and Retirement in Mulberry. He was born December 28, 1943 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Howard Virgil and Virginia Mae (Shields) Ott. He lived in Rensselaer most of his life until moving to Monon ten years ago. Mr. Ott was a member of the Eagles in Monon. He worked for the labor union in Lafayette and drove a truck for Jim Stewart Trucking in Kirklin. He enjoyed being outside, gardening and fishing. Surviving is a son Trevor Ott of Dayton and 3 other children, a sister, Betty Bengston (husband: Herb) of Monticello and a brother, Oran Tucker (wife: Mary) of Monon. Also surviving are several grandchildren and companion, Janeen Ford. He is preceded in death by 3 brothers.
