Helen A. Morrison, 89, of Lafayette, died at 7:56 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Healthcare Center of Lafayette. She was born February 27, 1921 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Murry Pearl Mundell and Golda Jane (Arnold). She attended school in Flora, IN. Her marriage was to Ozzie "Bud" Louis Morrison on June 23, 1936 in Danville, Illinois. Ozzie preceded her in death on December 29, 1996. Helen was a member of Good Shepard Baptist Church. She loved her relationship with the Lord, had a passion for Christ, and enjoyed hearing God's word. Helen also loved reading her bible, oil painting, traveling, and spending time with her family. Surviving are two sons, David L. Morrison (wife: Marty) of Battle Ground and Dan L. Morrison (wife: Vijaya) of West Virginia, three daughters, Carol J. Spence of Lafayette, Connie L. Ward (husband: Jerry) of Brookston and Kaaren S. Biglands (husband: David) of Fort Wayne and a sister, Margie. Helen loved her family, and especially cherished her 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son: Billy Morrison, 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 son-in-law: Dick Spence, 2 grandsons: Joe Spence and Danny Morrison, and 1 great-grandson: Randy. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston with Pastor Jim Chase and Pastor Terry Chase officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens of West Lafayette. Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
