Sheila A. Howe, 70, of West Lafayette, died at 5:24 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born April 29, 1940 in Lafayette to the late Ralph D. and Mary Agnus (Garvin) DeWeese. She attended Brookston High School. Her marriage was to Robert Howe on April 25, 1967 in Brookston. He preceded her in death in August 2009. She worked at Purdue University in the maintenance department for several years and enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. Surviving are two sons, Fred Howe (wife: Anita) of Richmond, Virginia and Bobby Howe (fiance: Lori Hawk) of Minnesota and a sister Peggy. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Regina, Alisa, Tonya, Anthony, Andrea, Aaron, Rachel and Sarah Howe and April and Mike Davis, ten great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is preceded in death by a son, Tony Howe, a daughter, Cindy Howe, a brother, William DeWeese and a grandson, Corey Howe. Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston in charge of arrangements.
