Barbara M. Kerr, 67, of Whittier, North Carolina, formerly of Brookston, passed away at 8:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 in her home. She was born December 27, 1942 in White County, Indiana to the late Claud and Helen (Richardson) Mansfield. She graduated from Brookston High School in 1960. Her marriage was to T.C. Kerr on November 9, 1963 in Delphi. He survives. Prior to moving to Whittier, North Carolina, Mrs. Kerr lived in St. Cloud, Florida where she managed Jiffy's. She also worked for Polymer Engineering, and was a stocker at Wal-Mart for ten years. She enjoyed sports, and was an avid Purdue and Chicago Bears fan. She also enjoyed puzzles, being outdoors, gardening, and working in her yard. Surviving with her husband are 3 children, Jay Kerr (wife: Elsa) of Portsmouth, VA, Robin Reyes of Bryson City, NC and Christy Jo Molina on Whittier, NC, and 6 siblings, Claud "Slow" Mansfield of Rensselaer, Jerry "Pete" Mansfield (wife: Janelle) of Macon, Georgia, Brad Mansfield (wife: Diane), Todd Mansfield (wife: Darla) and Joe Richardson (wife: Kathy) all of Brookston, and Suzanne Wells (husband: Noah) of Morganton, NC. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Allison, C.J. and Mindy, and 5 great-grandchildren, Sean, Ethan, Cameron, Kayden and Jayvon. She is preceded in death by a brother, Denny Mansfield.
