Geneve Anne "Nevann" Mitchell, 79, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Round Grove Township, died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born April 11, 1931 in Lafayette to the late John and Golda (Gibson) Comer. She graduated from Round Grove High School in 1949 and later graduated from Home Hospital Nursing School in 1952. Her marriage was to Cletus Mitchell on August 22, 1954 in Pine Grove United Methodist Church (Round Grove Township). He survives. Mrs. Mitchell was a Registered Nurse for many years, serving Lafayette Home Hospital and Riverside Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois before retiring in 1993 from The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, quilting, cross stitch, needlepoint and working crossword puzzles. Surviving with her husband are four sons, Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell (wife: Mary) of Battle Creek, Michigan, Kevin Mitchell (wife: Holly) of Jasper, Georgia, Jay Mitchell (wife: Audrey) of Dallas, Texas and John Mitchell of Bowling Green, Kentucky and a daughter, Sandra Mitchell of Bowling Green, Kentucky. Geneve loved her family very much and cherished spending time with them, especially her grandchildren, Steven, Jason, James, Laura, Noah and Carly. She had a wonderful relationship with her nieces and extended family. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home, Brookston. Pastor Joe Hornick to officiate. Interment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Lafayette.
