Dennis M. "Mike" Cook, 50, of West Lafayette, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Born May 2, 1959, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Dennis D. and Janet L. Smith Cook and a graduate of Jefferson High School. Mr. Cook worked most of his life in electronics. He was an avid racing fan and enjoyed playing basketball and football in his youth. He enjoyed coaching his daughters AAU and elementary basketball teams. Surviving are his daughters, Cassandra A. MacDonald and Felicia V. Makowske, both of Lafayette; partner, Barbara M. Makowske of West Lafayette; sister, Shannon K. Glass (husband: Anthony) of Indianapolis; and brother, L. Kevin Cook (wife: Mary) of Lafayette. Also surviving is a nephew, Bradon; and 2 nieces, Lacey and Corbin. A son, Justin Michael, preceded him in death. Mike was a fun guy who enjoyed making people laugh. He was a wonderful storyteller, singer and eloquent speaker, who lived his life with a smile. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
