Floyd Green, 76, of Monon, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 unexpectedly in his home. He was born October 22, 1932 in Benton County to the late Harold and Edith Brummett Green. He attended Benton County School. His marriage was to Bernice Yerk on November 12, 1951 in Brookston. She survives. Mr. Green worked at Monon Trailer Company as a welder and farmed. He enjoyed working outside in his garden, watching television, working on vehicles, and spending time with his family. Surviving with his wife are his children, Terry Green of Springfield, Missouri, Diane Davis (husband: John) of Rensselaer and Mike Green of Monon; 3 sisters, Betty Shephard of Fowler, Ruth Nangle (husband: Bill) of Texas, and Ruby Gwin (husband: Carl) of Linden; and a brother, Billy Green of Royal Center. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home in Brookston. Services there on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
