Matthew Kevin Ostheimer, 19, of Chalmers, died as a result of an automobile accident on Saturday, January 3, 2009 in Brookston. He was born June 12, 1989 to Kelly Bowers and David Ostheimer in Lafayette. He attended Frontier Elementary and Middle School and graduated with honors from Penn Foster High School in 2007. He loved computers and his goal was to become a computer programmer. He enjoyed video games and hanging out with his friends. He loved music of all kinds, including opera. Surviving is his father, David Ostheimer (wife: Sara) of Chalmers; mother, Kelly Bowers of Winchester, TN; sister, Madison Ostheimer of Lafayette; step-sister, Jacqueline Zediker of Indianapolis; brother, Montana Bowers of Winchester, TN; step-brothers, David Zediker, Jr. (wife: Dawn) and Deven Zediker, both of Lafayette. Also surviving are his grandparents, Marvin and Cynthia Ostheimer of Brookston and Judy and Colin Bowers of Manchester, TN. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles and many cousins. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Service there 10 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2009. The Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate.
