Dennis E. Pufahl, 65, of Monon, died January 1, 2009 in Indianapolis. He had been in declining health for several years. He was born April 3, 1943 in Rankin, Illinois to the late Harold and Vera (Marks) Pufahl. He attended North White high school. His marriage was to Pearl C. Hayden on May 21, 1968 in Pittsburg, Indiana. She survives. Mr. Pufahl worked for Monon Trailer for 19 1/2 years until they closed in 1997. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the coffee shop up town and phone calls with his sister in Florida. Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Christina Cox (husband: Ronald) of Rensselaer and Shirley Cox (husband: Dewey) of Francesville; brothers, Timmy Pufahl (wife: Diana) Pufahl of, FL, Jason Pufahl of Orlando, FL, Dane Pufahl (wife: Percie) of Melbourne, FL and Kendall Pufahl (wife: Rosa) of Ft. Myers; sisters, Eleanor Tapp of Ft. Worth, TX, Jerilyn Boone (husband: George) of Cookville, TN, Charlotte Armstrong of Ft. Myers, FL and Sandra Stinson (husband: Rex) of Monticello. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2009 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon.
