Uncas Woodcock, 57, of Monon, died unexpectedly and was found at 4:00 p.m. Friday,December 12, 2008 in his residence. He was born December 23, 1950 in Monon to the late Walter C. and Iris I. (Piatt)Woodcock. He was a 1969 graduate of North White High School and then continuedhis education graduating from Indiana Business College in accounting. He had been married to Mary Beth Ward of Monon. She survives. Mr. Woodcock worked at McGill Manufacturing for twenty years retiring in 2004. Over the years he owned and operated Woody's Floor Covering and Woody's Tax Service. Uncas was an excellent guitar player and was a member of several bands. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, mushroom hunting and attending football games. Surviving are his children, Lisa A. Meyers (husband: Jeff) of Lafayette, Rodney B.Woodcock (wife: Esmeralda) of Indianapolis, Julia E. McCutchan (husband: Jason) of Brownsburg and Michael K. Woodcock of Lafayette, Louisiana and six brothers, Walter C. Woodcock Jr. of Monon, Robert B. Woodcock(companion: Katie Kidler) of Monon, Bill Woodcock (wife: Lois) of Monticello, Wynemac Woodcock (wife: Becky) of Buffalo, Wilse Woodcock of Monticello and Arn Woodcock (wife: Glenna) of Monticello. Also surviving are five grandsons, Tony, Alex, Travis, Jacob and Daniel and a sister-in-law, Barb Woodcock. Preceding him in death with his parents are a brother, Wayne Woodcock and a sister, Rene Woodcock. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 at Clapper Family FuneralHome of Monon.
