Irene Radcliffe, 95, of Francesville, a former longtime resident of Wolcott, died at 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at Parkview Haven Rest Home in Francesville. She had been a resident there for the past three years. She was born March 26, 1913, in Monon, to the late George E. and Anna Delle Cloud Ewing. She married Robert L. Radcliffe on Aug. 3, 1934, in Hammond. He died March 23, 1992. Mrs. Radcliffe was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and her roses. She was a member of the Wolcott Apostolic Christian Church. Surviving are her children, Lee Radcliffe M.D. (companion: Ruth Pape) of Lafayette, Barbara Sanders of Columbus, Ohio, Robert Radcliffe II (wife: Cynthia) of Virginia, Barry Radcliffe (wife: Mary Ellen) of Schererville, Diane Clevenger (husband: Jon) of Monon and Michael Radcliffe (wife: Angeline) of Oconomowoc, Wis.; and a sister, Anna Belle Burbage. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Wolcott Apostolic Christian Church. Interment to follow at Paul's Chapel Cemetery (east of Francesville). Memorials may be made to Paul's Chapel Cemetery for perpetual care.
