Don L. White, 89, of Monticello, passed away peacefully in his sleep the morning of October 18, 2018 at White Oak Health Campus of Monticello.

He was born February 12, 1929 in Lafayette to the late Lowell and Mildred (Corns) White. His marriage was to Patsy A. (Miller) White and she survives.

Don retired from ALCOA of Lafayette as a supervisor. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and restoring classic cars. After retirement, Don built and flew remote controlled model airplanes and was a member of the White County Prop Busters.

Don is survived by his wife of 70 years and 3 children, Mike (wife: Laurelle) White of Reynolds, Diane White of Sarasota, FL, and Jayne White of Monticello. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (EST) Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery of Brookston.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don’s name to the American Cancer Society or the National Alzheimer’s Association.
