Anthony W. “Tony” Richard, 48, of Lafayette, passed away on November 10, 2018 at Heritage Healthcare of West Lafayette.

He was born November 1, 1970 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Chloe (Arnold) Richard. Tony was an entrepreneur and a self-proclaimed botanist. He attended Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Tony enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He had a huge heart and was always quick to offer a helping hand when able. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and was very handy when it came to building, remodeling, and crafting projects. He loved to float down the “Tippy River”, attend concerts, bowling with his daughter Saydey, and the mountain views Arkansas offered.

He is survived by siblings Rebecca Grater McVey, Dave Grater, Barry Richard, and Randy Richard all of Lafayette. His children, Summer Oaks, Saydey Justice Hawkins (fiancé: Nathaniel Poole), and Dylan Richard all of Lafayette. Tony is also survived by his grandchildren, Kayelynn, Kade, Reema, and David; nieces and nephews, Jessica McVey (Memphis and Chase), Brittany Brown (Dayzi and Layni), Samantha McVey (Jamison), Ciara Grater (Livian), Katerina Adams (Dawson and Waylon), Noah Webb, and Clayton Richard.

Preceding him in death along with his parents are brothers Michael Richard, Ronald Richard, and Robert Richard “Jr.”. Tony is also preceded in death by a nephew, Danny Richard.
