Frances M. (Goggins) Sparenberg, 60, of Remington, Indiana passed away Friday, November 1, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Indiana.  She was born December 18, 1958 in Kankakee County, IL to the late John J. and Mary P. (Seright) Goggins. Frances attended cosmetology school in Kankakee.

Her marriage was to Bruce Sparenberg on March 26, 1983 in Chebanse, IL; he survives.

Frances was a cosmetologist for 25 years working in both Illinois and Indiana. She was also a sales associate for the Remington Family Express. Frances enjoyed playing guitar for 20 years in the band, The Goggins Sister. When able, she also enjoyed horseback riding, reading, cards, and backgammon. Frances cherished time spent with family and friends.

Surviving along with her husband is a son, Dale Sparenberg of Indianapolis; two sisters, Patricia Dahn of Kankakee, IL and Ann Offermann of Frankfort, IL; brother-in-law Randy Morel of Bourbonnais, IL; sister-in-law Gayle (Marty) Wilder of St. Louis, MO. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding her in death along with her parents is a sister, Mary Kay Morel and brother-in-law, Larry Offermann.

Visitation is from 2 PM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 4 PM (EST) Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Cremation Rites will be held following the service.

Memorial donations may be made in Frances’s name to the American Cancer Society.
