Roger Wealing, 76, lifetime resident of Remington, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born March 31, 1944 in Rensselaer to the late Harold and Phyllis (Payne) Wealing. Roger was a 1962 graduate of Remington high School.

His marriage was to Marjorie Massoth on December 7, 1969 in the United Methodist Church of Remington; she survives.

Roger was a member of the Remington United Methodist Church and farmed most of his life retiring in 2003. He enjoyed camping with family and spending winter months in Williston, Florida. Roger also enjoyed spending time with their dog, Sophie.

Surviving along with his wife are children, Lisa (Darryl) Hatke of Lafayette, Amy Wealing of Remington, and Dawn (Alan) Aylesworth of North Carolina. Two brothers, Gene (Rita) Wealing of Alachua, FL and Jack (Joan) Wealing of Buffalo Creek, CO. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Cassady, Brandon, Megan, and Jackie; six great-grandchildren.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

A private graveside will be held in Remington Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at the Remington United Methodist Church.
