Sharon Marvin Monjon, 68, of Kentland passed away on January 3, 2021 in Rensselaer, IN. She was born on May 13, 1952 in Logansport, IN. Sharon graduated from South Newton High School in 1970. She also attended Indiana State University and Indiana Business College. Sharon married John Monjon on September 20, 1980. She worked at Funk Seeds for many years until she and her husband had their two sons. 

Sharon lived in Kentland her entire life and loved the community. She was close with her neighbors and had many lifelong friendships with those in the area. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and family, shopping with friends, watching IU basketball and White Sox baseball, taking pictures, spending time with her cat, Comisky, and decorating for Christmas.

 

Surviving is her son Jay Monjon. Also surviving are her granddaughters Jaylynn Monjon and Chloe Peevyhouse, brothers Bill (Pat) Marvin and Scott (Terry) Marvin, and daughter-in-law Heather Monjon.

 

Preceding her in death are her husband John, son Ben Monjon, brother Bob Marvin, and parents Doris and Glen Marvin.

 

Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be a small, private service for close family at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland, IN. A celebration of life event that will be open to friends and the community will be planned for a later date.
