Maxine R. “Mick” (Conarroe) Brown, 93, of Lafayette, passed away at 6:44 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2021 at Franciscan Health St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette.

  She was born February 22, 1928 in Lafayette to the late Clinton C. and Edith (Lane) Conarroe and was a 1946 graduate of Battle Ground High School.

  Mick worked for State Farm as an Executive Secretary for the Directors for 15 years.  Afterwards, she worked for Arnett Clinic retiring in August of 1993.  Mick also volunteered as a Pink Lady at Home Hospital for several years.

  Mick loved socializing with friends playing cards and cheering for the Indianapolis Colts.  She enjoyed music and playing the piano and organ.  In her younger days, Mick liked to play golf. 

  Surviving are three daughters, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

  Preceding her in death with her parents is a sister, Jane Van Schapen; a brother, Clinton Conarroe Jr. and a nephew, Larry Conarroe.

  A private family funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 at Battle Ground Cemetery; Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. 

  Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society.
