Calvin Sullivan, 74, of Kentland passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at IU Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. He was born November 5, 1946 to the late John “Jack" and Virginia (Watson) Sullivan.

Calvin was a graduate of A.J. Kent High School and received his Associates Degree from Vincennes University. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1970.

His marriage was to Beth Rutt in October of 1972 in Kentland. Beth preceded him in death on January 26, 2013.

Calvin served on the Kentland Fire Department for 30 years. He worked at DeVault’s Body Shop his whole career as an auto body technician. He was involved in NHRA drag racing for many years. In more recent years, Calvin enjoyed rebuilding classic cars and attending classic car shows through out the area.

Surviving is his partner, Ruby Koby of Kentland; daughters, Shawn Sullivan-Ross of Mt. Juliet, TN and Ginny (Gary) Grantham of Indian Trail, NC. Also surviving are his 4 grandsons, Bradley Ross, John Ross, Galvin Grantham, and Garick Grantham.

A celebration of life honoring Calvin will be held on Sunday, May 2^nd from 2-5 at the Kentland Depot. Family is requesting if you have a classic car to please drive.
