Randy Scott Hamilton

( April 19, 1963 - June 27, 2021 )

Randall “Randy” Scott Hamilton passed away June 27, 2021 at George Ade Nursing Home of Brook, Indiana. He was 58 years old. Randy was born April 19, 1963 in Gary, Indiana to parents Charles and Loretta Hamilton. He shares his birthday with his older brother Charles D. who was born April 19, 1962.

Randy was a 1982 graduate of North Newton High School. While in school he loved acting in the high school plays where he played Teddy Roosevelt in one of the many productions, he was a part of. He grew up in Lake Village, Indiana, after school he moved to Bolingbrook, IL and then Momence, IL.

Randy attended DeVry University for a year then switched his focus to comedy where he would attend Second City Comedian Club of Chicago, IL. Randy spent two years studying to be a comedian and would meet Chris Farley along the way.

Randy became a EMT for a few years in the early 2000’s where he was the transport EMT for cancer patients. I was told his patients loved him, enjoyed his humor, he presented the gift of laughter in their time of need. He moved back home to take care of his parents after his brother Russell passed away. Randy loved his cats and cared deeply for all animals.

The last several years, he was at George Ade Nursing Home where his mother Loretta Hamilton was at until her passing in April of 2021. The nurses said Randy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making everyone laugh. He was a big GODZILLA fan and enjoyed a cold Coke Cola.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Loretta J. Hamilton; brothers, Russell E. and Charles D. Hamilton.

He is survived by brother, Greggory M. Hamilton of Kentland, IN; niece, Abigail S. Hamilton and nephew, David M. Hamilton also of Kentland.
