Nancy A. Martin, 80, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at IU Health Hospital of Lafayette. She was born April 26, 1941 in White County, IN to the late Merle C. and Anna M. (Dempster) Martin.

Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Chalmers High School. She also attended St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She retired from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in December of 2006 after 46 years of employment. Nancy was a Histologist in the Pathology Lab.

She was a long-time member of Reynolds United Methodist Church. Nancy had a passion for helping others and supported many causes important to her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are sister, Marian Townsend of Upland, IN; sister-in-law, Ruth Martin of Reynolds, IN and brother-in-law, James Schroeder of Crossville, TN. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death along with her parents are siblings, Dempster Martin, Eugene Martin, Merle L. Martin, Jack Martin, and Carol Schroeder. She is also preceded in death by sisters-in-law, JoAnn Martin and Nila Martin and brother-in-law, George Townsend.

Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until the time of Memorial Service 12 PM (EST) Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Inurnment to follow in Riverside IOOF Cemetery of Monticello. Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate.
