Samuel “C.J.” Randolph, 94, of Brookston, passed away at 7:01 PM, Sunday, September 19, 2021 at St. Mary Health Care Center of Lafayette. C.J. was born May 20, 1927 in White County, TN to the late Sam and Vina (Bumbalough) Randolph.

His marriage was to Gladys Collier on April 22, 1944 in Cookeville, TN. She preceded him in death on January 13, 1981. He later married Jeanette Ringenberger on April 21, 1989. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2019.

C.J. owned and operated Brookston Feed from 1973 until his retirement in 1988. He enjoyed helping local farmers in the field during planting and harvest season, fishing, numerous camping trips with his wife Gladys, and loved dancing.

Surviving are children, Phyllis (Richard) Johns of Monon, David (Dianne) Randolph of Brookston, Mylinda (Robert) Shirley of Delphi, and Helen (Randy) Pate of Lafayette. Brother, Clodus Randolph of Cookeville, TN. C.J. is also survived by 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death along with his wife and parents are children, Stephen “Stoney” Randolph, Bill Randolph, and Brenda Kemp. He is also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anita Zook and Sam Kemp, and 12 siblings.

Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12 PM (EST) Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in C.J.’s name to the American Cancer Society.
