Larado L. White, 38, of Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2 p.m. with his mother by his side.

  Larado was born August 2, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois to Jessie Richardson and Linda F. White and attended Roberson High School in Chicago.

  His first marriage was to Kumari Wilson on May 21, 2006 in Chicago, IL; they later divorced.  This year, Larado married Rebecca Littlejohn on June 12, 2021; she survives.

  Larado moved from Joiliet, IL to Lafayette in 2015 and worked for Area Wide Protection (AWP) as a flagger ensuring safety on the job site.

  Larado’s life was rooted around family.  He loved spending with his children; wherever Larado was the kids would be.  He enjoyed movie nights and being outdoors playing basketball with his kids.  Larado’s smile would light up any room.  Larado was the peacemaker in the family and believed family unity was important; he truly put family first.  He wanted people to enjoy life.

  Larado also liked gaming on his PlayStation and rooting on the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Lakers; He was a big Kobe Bryant fan.

  Surviving is his father, Jessie Richardson (wife: Marla); his mother, Linda F. White McMurray; his wife Rebecca White and the couple’s two children, Sy’Aire and Sy’Meer; his first wife, Kumari Wilson and their children, Larado Jr., Amya, Tracey, Isaiah, Jessie and Amelia; his paternal grandmother, Bessie Richardson; two sisters, Marcha White and Vanita Fane and his brother, Antonio Richardson.  Also surviving are many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents Albert & Alberta White; his paternal grandfather, Monroe Jones and his step-grandfather, Bud Jones.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for the care of Larado’s children to Rebecca White.
