Charles R. Thomas, 68, of Crawfordsville, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Franciscan Health of Lafayette. He was born April 8, 1953 in Indianapolis to the late Galen and Wanda Jean (Tinsman) Thomas.

His marriage was to Pamela S. Cronk on April 26, 1975 in Lebanon, IN. Pamela passed away on January 4, 2018. Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1972.

Charles was a longtime member of Grace and Mercy Ministries of Crawfordsville. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing, and woodworking projects.

Charles is survived by his children, Donnie Powell of Crawfordsville, Charles (Beth) Thomas Jr. of New Ross, IN, and Amber Thomas of Crawfordsville. Siblings, Jeff Thomas, Marilyn Thomas, and John Kepler. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death along with his wife and parents is a son, Ronnie Powell and siblings, Gail Smoot and Tommy Thomas.

Friends may call from 10:30 AM (EST) until the time of funeral service 12:00 PM (EST) Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Grace and Mercy Ministries of Crawfordsville. Interment with military rites to follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
