Tony Spence, 68, of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Clinton House Health and Rehab Center of Frankfort, IN. He was born December 14, 1953 at Home Hospital in Lafayette to Richard and Janet (Morrison) Spence.

Tony worked in construction most of his life as a union member. Some of the local projects he helped with were the SIA plant and restoring the Tippecanoe Court House. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger years and also liked to hunt.

Surviving along with his mother, Janet, are siblings, Terry Clingerman and Dave Spence both of Lafayette; children, Jessica, Conley, Karey, and Jeremy Spence. Tony is also survived by his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death along with his father, Richard Spence, are brothers, Joe and Rick.

A private family only funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment will be held in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens of West Lafayette. Pastor Terry Chase to officiate.
