William Eugene Nagele, 89, of Sheldon, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center of Chicago, IL.

He was born March 11, 1933 in Earl Park to the late Leonard and Florence (Donohue) Nagele. William proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean war.

His marriage was to Archie Morris on April 27, 1963 and she survives.

William was a lifelong farmer. He loved trains, cars, Chicago Cubs baseball and Illini Basketball.

Surviving along with his wife Archie, are their children, Suzanne Seyfert of Milford, Steve, Bob, Mike, and Brian Nagele all of Sheldon, and Rick Nagele of Rensselaer. Sister, Mary (John) Kidwell of Sheldon and sister-in-law, Irma Nagele of Wilmette, IL. William is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Albert Nagele.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (CDT) Friday, March 25, 2022 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Rosary Service to begin at 3:45 PM. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM (CDT) Saturday, March 26, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
