Mary Ann was a 1959 graduate of Fowler High School in Fowler, Indiana. She was a legal secretary for several years, in Chicago, Illinois, San Bernardino, California, and Monticello, Indiana, and in California for several years as well. Mary Ann was a member of the Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Monticello, Indiana.
