Biographical Information:
George Marx was a talented man:

George went to White Oak Church School graduating 8th grade and was a church member.
He helped build the first road between Headlee and Pulaski with his own tractor.
George was a Farmer raising grain and livestock and of course, always a huge garden.

He started custom baling after marring Vivian Hoch and lived down the road from the White Oak Church. From there he moved east of Headlee starting to custom combine and started a Sawmill. In the garage at the farm, he helped build one of the first motor homes with his dad (John) and brother (Ivan), as well as working on vehicles and machinery for friends and neighbors. During Hayfever season, they would make use of that motorhome heading to Michigan. He sharpened sawmill blades, saw blades, chainsaw blades, drill bits for several people and was excellent at the job. He pulled house trailers all over the US with a Jeep in late 40’s, again later in the 60’s and 70’s with his Ford. He installed drainage tile for farmers with his Backhoe. He then worked a number of years traveling all over the state operating Bulldozer/Crane for companies and projects (Davis and Delphi Gravel Pits and Liberty Landfill). He was employed at Kingsbury Plant for one year. Later retired to travel in Mexico as a Tail gunner for Point South Caravans touching hearts and hands of many people. He LOVED fishing in Florida and spent many years doing so. He also had a great passion for building wood furniture and trivets.
