Scott was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was 1980 graduate of Washington Township of Valparaiso, Indiana. Scott was very active in cross country, track, and baseball. He loved German shepherds and was an avid fisherman. He loved spending as much time as possible on water and could always make you laugh.
