Biographical Information:
Odette worked in the food services industry all of her time in the Monticello area. She loved working in the public realm with people. Odette worked as a waitress at the Pirates Roost on Lake Freeman, as a cook at the Purdue Memorial Union, as a counter server at the Monticello Kroger Deli, as a cook at the White County Jail, and at the Fudge Shop at Indiana Beach. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church for fifty (50) years. Odette became a Naturalized Citizen of the United States on December 17, 1971, something she was extremely proud of. She loved, cared for, and spent most of her free time with her children and grandchildren. Odette never knew a stranger. We will miss her ability to make us laugh with her endless array of jokes and "Odette-isms", her infectious laugh, and her bright smile.
