Biographical Information:
Bill was a 1935 graduate of the Ben Davis High School of Indianapolis, Indiana. He had worked at and retired from FMC-Link Belt Bearing Plant in Indianapolis after 44 years of service. Bill was also the co-owner of the Ledgewood Builders of Danville, Indiana. He had been a Boy Scout Leader back in his younger years. Bill's favorite hobbies were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as old steam engine trains and old cars. He attended his first Indy 500 in the arms of his father and never lost interest in the sport.
Special Services: Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:30 on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Maple Hill Cemetery, in Plainfield, Indiana.
Memorial Information: Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to the Boy Scouts of America. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Marriage Information: On October 14, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, he married Martha Jean "Marti" Curtis. She died Monday, May 11, 2009.

(husband Todd) Eidam of Mason, Ohio; Great Grandchildren, Rebecca Ashley Rutledge of Troy, Alabama, Raven E. Rutledge and Piper Ann Rutledge of Germantown, Tennessee, and Lorelai M.J. "Rori" Rutledge of Wellington, New Zealand;Several Nieces, Nephews, and known as "Uncle Bill" to many others.
