Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home - MonticelloTodd Wendell Ley Glass( August 13, 1968 - July 7, 2022 ) Todd Wendell Ley Glass lived by the Lynyrd Skynyrd lyrics that his mother, Cheryl Tumbleson Glass, lovingly shared with him as a young boy: "And baby be a simple real simple man, Oh be something you love and understand, Baby be a simple kind of man."
Todd passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the loving arms of his sister Tia Ghattas (George) while they listened to one of their favorite Pink Floyd albums. Born on Tuesday, August 13, 1968, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Cheryl Christine (Tumbleson) and Dan Glass, Todd was a gifted “connector”. He had a way of saying something deep that would make you think, and he’d wait expectantly for a gleam in your eye when you “got it”. With a half smile and raised eyebrows, he enjoyed finding a connection with those he encountered. All those who loved Todd learned to expect and appreciate the unexpected while he lived life his own simple way. Time and distance, and now death, may separate Todd from us, but if you knew him you know his spirit had a keen way of staying with you. We are lucky to know we will be graced with his beautiful spirit for eternity.
He is survived by his his mother and father; grandmother Joanne Tumbleson; son Kyle Ley Glass; brother Jason Glass; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. We are also grateful Todd met his soulmate, Dianna Okrasinski, and she remained faithfully by his side until his final breaths.
In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation of time or treasure to the Corporal Works of Mercy, an organization that responds to the basic needs of humanity as we journey through this life together. And when you think of Todd, he will know your eyes are gleaming.
A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 12:00 (noon) to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Redmens Lodge, 422 N. Main Street, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
